BT (British Telecom)

BT is the world's oldest communications company, with a direct line of descent from the first commercial telecommunications undertaking in the world.  The Electric Telegraph Company incorporated in 1846, was the first anywhere to develop a national communications network exploiting leading edge telegraphy technology.

We began delivering Sales, Management and Communication training in the early 90s just as the new BT was born.

On 2 April 1991, the company unveiled a new trading name, BT, a new corporate identity and a new organisational structure. This structure focused on specific market sectors, reflecting the needs of different customers - the individual, the small business or the multinational corporation. The reorganisation was named Project Sovereign to reflect the company’s commitment to meetings customers’ needs - ‘the customer is King’.

Our consultants were involved in the launch and delivery of this bold new project and helped establish BT as a major force in the Telecoms industry.

Due to our part in the successful delivery of “Project Sovereign” we have continued to play and important part in the expansion of BT into foreign markets including product, services and customer service training in new territories such as the Sub Continent (Pakistan/India) and West Africa (Ghana/ Nigeria)

We were also involved in the launch of BT’s new brand and corporate values in 2003.

In April 2003, BT unveiled its current corporate identity and brand values.  Reflecting the aspirations of a technologically innovative future, the connected world symbol is bright, strong and clear and embodies BT’s five corporate values. The values of Trustworthy and Helpful are long-standing BT service values and are supported by forward-looking values of Inspiring, Straightforward and Heart.
